i realy like the skin of the smiteing staff that you get in ascalon from the krytan ambassador, the one thats a circle head on a stick.....
shame its such a low item, it looks realy good to me, but i cant use it as i never have had a monk primary (i think it needs divne favour to use properly, or is it smiteing prayers? lol)

I have to say, for an UNPOPULAR sword skin, the Wingblade/Butterfly skin is my favorite. I had one of these which I picked up clean for an AGE and really grew attached to it.
I like the Fellblade too... Just kidding!

Wingblades aren't bad. I like the Gladius for the same reason as other people like it- it's just a sword, nothing more. However, it's extremely rare. I like Summit Axes, especially since when I was a newb there was a guy selling near max white weapons in ascalon for like 100gp each. I bought that summit axe and customized it, and never looked back for a LONG time.
Summit Hammers are cool for the "I just hit you with a car engine on a stick" look.

If I remember correctly, the longswords produced by droks crafters use gladius models, so I can't really call it "extrememly rare."
I'm a crystalline sword fan, but due to their rarity (realistically drops only from quest reward chests in FoW/UW/HoH), it won't become too popular without a patch revising its drop rate.

The crafter longsword is gladius? Nice. I'll have to get that.
However, gold gladius's are rather rare- I've seen only a few, and have only had like 1 white one drop for me at most.

Fiery Dragon sword. Its animated and the flames really do move!
But most people would rather just run around with an oversized can opener...
